yeah, i was just looking back at setlists and yeah tons of times lol gardens more then beat up car but still, gardens WAS a single!
I agree but the wild thing here is there was a blink album more recently (in 2019) than TBS' last album in 2016
They play better homes all the time but beat up car isn’t regularly in their setlist (it did get played during the holiday shows this past year), and I can’t remember the last time I heard stood a chance.
well, Adam was on Jeremy Bolm's podcast and he also mentioned he thought of U2 while listening to it, and Adam was grateful for that comparison. Can't say much about the rest - hopefully doesn't hold water hahh
I would love to hear this new song with Adam's Louder Now voice. That feels mean to say with who he is today, but idk.
Apparently the UO variant is delayed. This was the only variant that didn’t seem to match the color scheme of the album. I passed on it but a friend passed this along
The songs all sound really good and the band feels rejuvenated. However, I’m having a hard time getting into the auto tuned vocals. Something feels a little off to me idk. hoping that when I hear the full Album I’ll be a little more into it. Excited from Friday nonetheless
The closest I can think of are the moodiest songs on Happiness Is, especially during bridges. But yeah it feels like they went up a level with this element this time and I'm all for it.
Happiness Is was such a good record. No idea why it gets passed over. All The Way, It Takes More, They Don’t have Any Friends, Beat Up Car… all very good.
It really is, and its B-sides are excellent. When I first heard it, I got through Stood a Chance already liking what I was hearing then “All the Way” came on and I was like “okay this record is gonna be great”
I wasn’t expecting to ever hear 2000s era Tom again but he made an appearance. Louder Now Adam isn’t too much to ask for…TAYF Adam, now that’s a big ask!
Eh I dunno about that. I know they’re two completely different singers but Tom never sang anything as vocally demanding as what Adam was singing on WYWTB and Louder Now, and Adam smoked a lot and didn’t have the best vocal technique (who in the scene really did back then?), so I don’t think Louder Now Adam will come back.
I'm on the record way too much for expressing my disdain for releasing openers/closers - however; I don't hate limiting the releases to a subsequent group. After track 4 - it's surprise after surprise. Pretty refreshing.
I am truly perplexed by all the claims saying this is their best album when given the songs that have been released so far. The rest better blow my fucking mind lol. Like, I've enjoyed them, but they're nothing groundbreaking
