Probably my least favorite of the new songs

 

Ok spoke too soon, second listen is already growing on me

 

Turns out that working with Tushar Apte was such a good move for them, damn

 

I’d been hoping for that before they did (not him specifically, but somebody who wasn’t one of the usual suspects, especially after years of saying they’re not a nostalgia act). Everything they’ve said about the way this completely changed their writing process has been super interesting.

 

Keep Going is the first single I’ve actually found interesting. Nice.

 

this album is gonna be great. love the change of direction.

 

this producer guy really got Adam to Adam more than Adam has Adamed in a minute

Also that outro is wicked good I wanna hear like a minute more of it

This song also got me to finally connect that carnival barker adam is the same as squawking and crooning incomprehensible whose vocals i fell in love with in live TAYF era live shows

 

Just taking a guess that part of it comes from Tushar Apte but what stands out the most on this song and the other new ones are the production flourishes. Love the airy background things that make the singles feel more... whole so far, if that makes sense?

Yeah the background stuff is selling me. Feel like they’ve never really done that before and it adds a whole new element.

 

I remember at one point, in the TBS thread pre-announcement, someone discovering that’s the producer they were working with. Would you believe the baseless assumptions about that skewed negative?

(I for one was hopeful, and am glad that my hopes have worked out so far.)

Man. S'old is the best song they've made in a looooong time.

Yup, easily their actual best albums and Tidal Wave was no slouch either.

 

I don't even wanna discuss their other albums at this point, good or bad

 

John tweeted that he contributed the “boot stomping, blood letting, son of a bitch.” The way Adam delivers it is so good, too.

 

I feel like it's been so long since the last album, everything that can be discussed about the previous albums has already been discussed and ranked to points of insanity.

Very happy to talk nothing but the new album from here on out
