I’d been hoping for that before they did (not him specifically, but somebody who wasn’t one of the usual suspects, especially after years of saying they’re not a nostalgia act). Everything they’ve said about the way this completely changed their writing process has been super interesting.

Just taking a guess that part of it comes from Tushar Apte but what stands out the most on this song and the other new ones are the production flourishes. Love the airy background things that make the singles feel more... whole so far, if that makes sense?
Yeah the background stuff is selling me. Feel like they’ve never really done that before and it adds a whole new element.
I remember at one point, in the TBS thread pre-announcement, someone discovering that’s the producer they were working with. Would you believe the baseless assumptions about that skewed negative? (I for one was hopeful, and am glad that my hopes have worked out so far.)
John tweeted that he contributed the “boot stomping, blood letting, son of a bitch.” The way Adam delivers it is so good, too.
I feel like it's been so long since the last album, everything that can be discussed about the previous albums has already been discussed and ranked to points of insanity. Very happy to talk nothing but the new album from here on out
