That’s good to know. The lyrics are just as great as ever, but something about the production on the songs they’ve released so far just hasn’t been sitting right with me.

 

yeah, ive hated the production on the new gaslight. it takes away from the tunes for me

 

I've never loved Gaslight, but enjoy the couple of albums when they were at their peak. Heard a few from the new one and they sound pretty terrible. I'll listen, but I have close to zero hope I'll enjoy much

Everything I've heard off History Books thus far sounds amazing. Little Fires was the only one that took a while for me to get into but the other 4 were immediate.

Time to break out that EP again.

 

Listened to it a few months ago when I realized it was turning 20 this year. Can’t believe how well it still holds up.

 

@Jason Tate its funny, reading your blink review, along with you and Craig’s back and forth on the thread - this book seemed very fitting about the passion behind the scene. Chris Carabba’s forward is beautiful, and Amy (the author) fucking killed it with this book. So happy to have it in my collection now.

 

the imagery in this song is insane and when that “I know you what you’re doing/I know what you did” hits and that extra bit in the outro with that bassline…

 

God that chorus is so good. Can anyone make it out?
