Seeing this made me so happy. I arrived during WYWTB, so to me it always felt like Fred was an original member. I always hoped they'd reconcile but didn't think it would happen.
Not to be that who follows who person, but seems the only one Mark doesn’t follow is John and Mark is the only one John doesn’t follow. Just interesting. Anyway, as I said, it feels weird without Mark. More than any of the other lineups.
I don't even care if Fred goes into the studio with them, but to have him on-hand to sing his own parts would be pretty cool.
Guys, I would be stunned if the Fred thing is anything more than just a special one-off appearance. I *highly* doubt it’s anything more than that.
Couple of things to remember: Fred stated on multiple podcasts back around 2019/2020 that he had reached out to the band to gauge their interest in doing something together, specifically for the 20-year anniversary tour since they were playing Fred's two albums front to back. He said he had some good conversations with Adam and felt like they were on good terms again, which was something that was really important to him, but nothing ever came of it relating to his involvement with the band. We also know Mark hated Fred. Mark made that very clear. So it's probably not a coincidence that it appears Mark is no longer with them and all of a sudden Fred is back on stage with TBS.
I'll be the first one in queue if Fred goes on your again Nah what am I saying I'll be first in the queue regardless of what's going on lol.
I'll always go when they are in town, but I'll drive my ass to multiple shows in my region if Fred is going to be with them. My first show was Projekt Rev 07 and that's the only time I got to see them with Fred.
Lots of drama around the time of Louder Now. Mark called him the devil in the AP oral history when New Again came out and said he threw a party when Fred quit the band lol
I know in the AP oral history they said that Mark walked into the studio to Fred creating drum parts and he flipped out.
Considering Mark’s written guitar parts for the band, that’s a weird thing for him to have been mad about
I think Fred was also pushing to get more song writing credit as he was writing most of the music, IIRC.
Probably a nothing burger as well but someone on Reddit was saying Mark follows Jordon Peterson type accounts on instagram and that John would definitely not be into that
He came across as an absolute douchebag whenever I would spend time with them. Adam was always soft spoken but very sweet. Rubano would go out of his way to make you feel welcome
Agreed on Adam, very nice guy and way more chill than his stage presence would suggest. Only met Rubano in passing a couple times but seemed really chill. I met Mark once after a show on the Tidal Wave tour and chatted with him for a bit. He seemed like a nice guy. I joked about how I thought in intro to “We Don’t Go in There” sounded like the Unforgiven by Metallica and he thought it was funny. But other times he seemed a little stand-offish. There was one time where I told him and Rubano that they were a great rhythm section and Mark didn’t acknowledge it but Rubano pointed to Mark and said “it’s all this guy right here.”
