This takes me back to 2008, when Say Anything ripped off The Clash "I Fought The Law" on "Hate Everyone"
I think everyone's forgetting what's most important here: The hell is going on with John Nolan's hair.
I get why people are hating on this one. If you're a fan of Taking Back Sunday, and not necessarily a fan of a more "traditional" punk rock n' roll vibe? It makes perfect sense that you wouldn't get into this. But fuck, is it undeniably catchy!
For the record, I wouldn't like this song if Thrice wrote it. TBS has nothing to do with it. The song is just as much bad as it is derivative.
Yeah I'm with you. This just straight up isn't good. This whole "they can't win, if they stay the same they get attacked if they change they get attacked" narrative is stupid. Also Adam trying to look like a biker or like he is in Rancid is silly.
You mean like Gaslight Anthem doing a bad impression of a mid-90's grunge band on Get Hurt? This song is actually pretty decent for Taking Back Sunday. Seeing as they're regarded as a fairly cheesy pop band in the first place. Which also explains comments from their fans on You Tube. Declaring this as their Dropkick Murphys/Against Me! song. Lolwut
1) Get Hurt is not even close to good Gaslight Anthem. 2) In no way was TBS regarded as a cheesy pop band during their zenith.
Taking Back Against Me Gasllight Anthem Sunday? i knew it! but i like that they're trying something new.
