From the guys that brought us Supper Troopers, Beerfest, and all the other Broken Lizard classics comes Takoma FD. Premiered March 28 2019 on truTV. Tacoma FD takes place "in a firehouse in the wettest city in America. Light on blazes that need extinguishing, they are fire fighters who are always ready to fight fires… but in this wet city, they find themselves tackling the less glamorous elements of the job. Leading the fire house crew are Chief Terry McConky and Captain Eddie Penisi. So far I absolutely love this show. Its fun like the original Super Troopers (not the sequel) and has the same vibe. Three episodes in and I already hope it keeps up the humor. Great cast, cameos, story, and hijinx. Anyone else watching?
Agreed. Have watched ever premiere episode. I know the numbers were good initially, but slowly slipping
Yep, been watching with my dad! This show is better than any of the Broken Lizard movies since Beerfest
Would have liked another season and for the show to end on its own terms but I feel like it kind of ran its course.
Dang, sad to read. Loved this series, was so much fun. I will also admit that season 4 felt out of place without Andy. I can understand thought why it was cancelled as I think it was starting to get a bit repetative. Im all in for Super Troopers 3, but my expectations are "Super" low after being "Super" let down by "Super" Troopers 2. I remember seeing the original 3 times in the theater and having a blast, sadly I only needed to see the sequel once. Not much replay volume. Give me potfest dang it!
yeah i remember not really caring for super troopers 2 either, i agree it was definitely a one time watch. i did enjoy quasi on hulu, that was funny! i laughed a lot but i don't see myself revisiting it. it was rad though that tacoma was born out of super troopers 2 because they had all that extra funding, i got to see the pilot before the show got picked up even through their crowdfunding for the film, that was a fun time! got to meet them all to when they came to chicago for beerfest here. and yah whatever happened to potfest?
