You probably can between 9:00-10:30. That's the time when most TB's will make breakfast or lunch depending what people order.
I either mispoke or they misheard me/rang me up wrong, but I ended up getting a steak quesadilla with fries added (was shooting for a quesarito). It was reeeeally good but they also grilled it perfectly, which I'm sure everyone knows is a touchy prospect when going to the bell.
A few weeks ago I meant to order a Cheesy Potato bowl, but instead they gave me a cheesy potato burrito (didn't even know that was a thing) and I HATED it.
It was way too potato-ey for me and the texture of the potatoes blended too closely with the tortilla, if that makes sense. Felt like I was just eating mush. It was also after I had already ate 2 quesadillas and a CGC so by the time I got to that, I was already full and annoyed that it was not the bowl.
Went for round 2 of the fries bell grande, and they didn’t give me a fork!!! I was eating in the car before a meeting and had to use my hands. Terrifying experience.
Finally got the fries today and they were just as dope as expected, I'm sold! Only complaint is I ran out of cheese before fries
@Anthony_ so I tried the cheesy bean & rice burrito... great suggestion. Will definitely be getting that in the future instead of the bean burrito. However, the chicken quesadilla was probably the saddest quesadilla I've had in my life. I won't be ordering it again. Also, I tried the nacho fries supreme and I think the cheesy fiesta potatoes are better. There's too much sugar in the fry seasoning and not enough salt. Reminded me of kettle corn and that's not a good thing. My cheesy gordita crunch was great as usual.
I need to try that cheesy bean & rice burrito. I feel like I'm alone on this but wasn't impressed by the fries...although mine had like no seasoning so I need to try em again. Cheesy Gordita was made by a God. So was the chalupa.
The regular nacho fries were good, but the sugar-salt ratio is off in the seasoning, if you got more, I'm not sure if you'd like it. I just added salt to make them... salty. The fries supreme are put in an airtight container so they steam from their own heat. It's like takeout 101 to not put french fries in an entirely closed container, so that's really disappointing. I agree on both counts. I want a double decker-cheesey gordita hybrid on the menu.
I know I haven't liked everything you've suggested @Anthony_, but I'm glad I'm trying a lot more menu items. It's worth it to find just one item I really like... such as the cheesy bean & rice burrito.
Are any of the X-layer burritos good? I'm tempted to try some of them but there are so many layers I get confused
It was the worst chicken quesadilla I've ever had. Maybe I had a bad one, but there wasn't enough cheese and the chicken felt like scraps. Plus there was no seasoning or sauce or peppers or onions or anything at all.
Yeah I mean, it's all personal taste. Like, even that ranking I did of the suggestions you were given by someone else was just my own personal preference of those particular options, not even what I usually order (although I do love the crunchwrap supreme). Their quesadillas can be really disappointing if you get a lackluster one though, I agree with you on that. They're just not big enough. But I like, never got those unless they're doing a special one (like the one with the naked chicken chips in it from early 2017).
I typically don't order them because they can be really goopy, but if you were going to get one I'd say the beefy 5-layer one and then add fries or tortilla strips to the inside just to help soak up some of the goopiness. I don't think the 7-layer one has meat inherently.
I'm addicted to their chicken quesadilla's. I always get two of them when I go to Taco Bell. They never have peppers or onions. It's typically just cheese, chicken and a creamy sauce. I do notice a lot of times, the ends are cheeseless but I still devour them. I did get them one time where they forgot to put the creamy sauce in it and it was very dry and not good at all. But that was only once out of like 3 million times.
My taco bell is really poorly run, so that could be a large part of it. I'd say 1/3 of the time they screw up my order.
It's all about location. Luckily, the Taco Bell I live by is the best Taco Bell I've ever been too. It's always fresh and the quesadilla's are always loaded with the creamy sauce. But I've been to several Taco Bells where everything always just tastes old and stale.
I'll agree that it all depends on location/the person making your food, but I have to agree with Ken. Even though I get the quesadilla fairly often, it truly is one of the worst quesadillas out there. Very little meat... they often forget the sauce... I guess living in Texas, there's no shortage of places to get a good quesadilla. There are literally a dozen gas stations within 5 miles of my house that sell street tacos and quesadillas in the back that are WAY better than Taco Bell's. That being said, there are certain things worth going to Taco Bell for, and the CGC is at the top of that list.
