The spicy sweet is interesting. Stopped by for some spicy quesdillas I know that's spelled wrong. Anyway took 20 minutes so they gave me an emanada. Yay!
late to this but i just got cinnamon twists the other day for the first time since probably high school and i thought they held up very well.
The Taco Bell near where I use to live there was this one guy working late night drive thru that would ALWAYS mess up my order. It's like he was super careless and didn't give a shit. The ticket was correct but someone my order was wrong. Always a disappointing experience. I would have gone elsewhere if there were somewhere else to go.
Naked Chicken Chalupa wasn't terrible but it wasn't great either It's just a fried chicken patty folded in half with some shitty lettuce, tomatoes and cheese thrown it. There was some kind of sauce but it was basically non-existent.
Mine was very good. Chicken was like perfect and spiced really nicely. Agree that it needs more sauce. Gonna ask for extra next time.
I mean, the chicken itself was tasty, but the other ingredients didn't really add anything to it at all. It's 100% novelty to me. It's just a chicken sandwich without the bun, with worse lettuce and tomatoes than you'd get on any other chicken sandwich. It just didn't even seem like a Taco Bell item really.
so there's no meat inside? seems so unlike Taco Bell to me. I figured they would load as much meat in them as they could. hmm
I might try it with beef in it at some point but I think as-is is ideal (or maybe w extra sauce as was already brought up). The chicken is the main event, and it's quite good. That makes it a win in my book.
How's the structural integrity of the chicken shell? Is it messy or does it hold together well enough?
This was a hot discussion topic at work today. We decided it would be best to decline the lettuce and just put steak or more chicken on it.
I don't really eat at Taco Bell often, so I'm not sure, but yeah, I think so. It was just shredded lettuce, cheese, diced tomatoes and a tiny amount of sauce.
Also, I don't know if it needed any more meat since the entire thing is basically just chicken, but it did seem like it needed something else. Again, it seemed more like a bunless chicken sandwich than anything resembling a taco or chalupa. The only thing chalupa about it was the shape.
I might try one tonight but I'm not a fan of lettuce or tomatoes. Might try to sub in some potato's instead.
