Oh I don't doubt it's a shit company to work for; the amount of turnover they have, especially at the location I go to, is crazy. It's like they have a whole new crew every time I visit
Yeah I worked there for 10 years and was a GM. They truly do not give a fuck about any of their employees.
Just to clarify, I wasn't saying that Chipotle is great or anything, but that the guy who ran Taco Bell successfully is now doing the same thing over at Chipotle. While Taco Bell... has seen better days.
oh yeah I agree. He’s a great CEO business wise. I did hear he moved the headquarters to California from Denver because his wife didn’t want to move. I’m not sure how true that is just heard it from some friends that still work there.
I mean I don't blame you for being mad at Chipotle for treating their employees poorly but it's not much different at 95% of chain restaurants/fast food. I like the taste of Chipotle, but stopped going because it just got too expensive and there are other options. Seems like I used to be able to get a double meat bowl/burrito for like $8 and now it's close to $11 and tortillas on the side are extra.
Not even just chains, I've worked for quite a few independently owned restaurants and it was just as bad. probably most jobs than pay less than a certain amount, inherently don't treat their employees great... and restaurant work can be some of the most demanding work there is
How the hell did they think someone running a golf company (TaylorMade) could do good in the restaurant industry?
I've worked at Burger King, Islands (used to be big, now just west coast I think), and In-N-Out and always had great managers. In-N-Out was especially great, but that likely isn't a surprise.
it’d be a little chonkier but they do have a lil chicken-cheese-chipotle sauce wrap on the dollar menu now
