Went to a birthday party last night and they served Taco Bell and Del Taco burritos for a good old fashioned face off. Obviously TB won by a landslide.
Went to a different Taco Bell and ordered three reaper DSTs and thought I was golden until I got to the window and the guy remembered they’ve been out of the reaper sauce all week, they didn’t have to do me like that
subbed out the chipotle sauce for spicy ranch and added a ton of diablo sauce. it’s just not the same fam :’(
if anyone finds a recipe for making your own reaper ranch let me know lol I can keep some on reserve and put it on my food when I bring it home
that gives me an idea The Taco Bell Home Cooking Challenge try to make an entire taco bell order from scratch and taste test it against actual taco bell items to see how close you can get it
This is probably blasphemy, but it'd be pretty easy to make something much better than what you get at Taco Bell. They give you the convenience and the low price though.
I tried replicating a crunchwrap at home and aside from getting the wrapping of it right, it turned out pretty damn good.
It’s not hard to make stuff from scratch that tastes better than fast food, but it IS hard hard to make stuff from scratch that tastes the same as fast food.
Didn’t mean to double hard but I actually don’t disagree with that typo so I’m leaving it. It is hard hard.
The quesarito is a go-to non-value menu item for me. I find myself usually trying to decide between getting that or a CGC and then a few value items. It's great but I feel like it's almost an underrated part of the menu.
