Cards/comics shop was selling some board games for $10 each (cash) so I got Horrified Universal Monsters and Honey Buzz
I picked up Spooktacular and that game is just an absolute delight. Running around as a monster scaring and eating people is a blast.
Ya boy just got asked to do a Top 10 Games of 2025 for The Dice Tower. It's gonna be a hard year to whittle down. I'm at just about 50 2025 releases played this year.
Today we had a shorter game day before my team plays tonight A session of Moon Colony Bloodbath (I liked it!! The other two were obviously frustrated at how quickly the losses mount) and some LotR trick taking as a chill down game. Probably gonna do some more games next weekend. I wanna get Rising Sun to the table after playing it with my old board game group when I was in town
what the heck did no one get anything cool for Christmas???? I got the Lorcana Palace Heist, which is a solo/co-op boss battler version of the TCG. It's a neat way to play the game without jumping back into a TCG
my friends and i haven't been able to beat it yet, i think i'm gonna have to build a deck specifically for it. i myself have a pretty modest collection, idk how you'd fare with just the decks it gave you.
This is what the family ended up with. Pigeons was baaad. Ra is great. Quacks is fantastic. Flamecraft Duals is also fantastic.
I got Harmonies, both Mains of Compile, and Vale of Eternity: Artifacts as gifts. Then I treated myself to Hot Streak and Quacks.
Your best bet is probably to order through Level 99's store and wait for their next batch to come in. The only other time I saw it anywhere else was at PAX Unplugged.
Ordered a couple solo games: A Gentle Rain, which just sounds kind of nice. Unstoppable, which I am very excited for because the hype seems pretty universal.
I beat my first game and then played again a couple days later and suffered my actual worst final girl loss ever haha
There’s so many different components to it that I probably forgot to do a couple things and I stilllll lost. Ha
I literally only have precons lol. I'm just gonna start 1v1 on Easy mode and see how it goes. It was marked down from $60 to $20, otherwise I would have never bought it. A Gentle Rain is THE game that turned me on to solo gaming. I wanted it for so long and was stoked that it got picked up by another publisher and reprinted. There was a time where I would play 3-4 games every night. Such a simple, relaxing game. What version did you get? And yeah from what I've seen, Unstoppable hype is real.
I had no idea there were even different versions! I bought the one on Amazon https://a.co/d/iZa8wjs Should I have gotten a different one?
No that's actually my preferred version, it's the original and it's so neat and compact. There is a 'Bloom' edition that has acrylic flower tokens but that's the only difference. And the packaging is unnecessarily large
For our church’s small group Christmas party we ended up getting 10 Days in The USA and Trekking The World. played through both several times with my wife and my brother and his wife and thoroughly enjoying them.
