Yes, Bad Times at Buddyland sounds like a blast too. I’m very excited.

Gah, what a fun game. I’m hoping to destroy the poltergeist tonight.

This year is going to be so good with Final Girl content!

I don’t have Poltergeist yet but everyone seems to enjoy that one a lot, you’ll have to tell me how it is.

I’m not sure your thoughts on minis but for me I don’t really have much interest. It’s cool that a few boxes already have them which I’ll take but I don’t see myself buying them separately.

oh and I got notification that my package is out for delivery! Excited to check them out after not playing in several months.

Poltergeist has been fun so far but for better or worst it is the most luck dependent of the ones I’ve played (and I gather in general as well). Instead of attacking the poltergeist, you need to find a specific item card and escape the house before you die. She builds up power relatively quickly - there was one killer phase where she was allowed TWELVE steps because of her bloodlust level plus an unfortunate terror card. I’ve been having fun with her even though I had a game the other night that lasted all of ten minutes, which was frustrating, and I love the location.

I’ll never buy separate minis and I doubt I’ll ever get around to painting any of them, but I do think I’ll like having them if not just because they’re easier to differentiate between the purple and red meeples under any lighting conditions. (I have whatever came with the S2 Ultimate Box but I haven’t played any yet, and I have a generic killer mini that came with the props box that I do use every time.)

That’s very exciting! Let me know what you think of them as you play! My S3 Ultimate is also arriving today but it’s going to be a long time before I break into it.

Wait do you mean this thing?
    IMG_1586.jpeg

If so I never even thought about using that as the killer meeple, I’ve always used it on the horror track. That’s actually genius! Great way to differentiate them on the playing area for sure

Yep, that’s the one! I think it is probably meant to be used how you use it but I got sick of constantly accidentally moving the killer meeple, haha. Nice paint job btw.

Heyyyy, if you want to save $20, you should see if you can return the accessories box and I can send you mine - I have an extra since I bought it a few weeks ago while under the delusion that I wouldn’t spend the money on the S3 Ultimate Box anytime soon.

Just let me know because otherwise I’ll offer it to someone in the Discord.

It’s actually not my paint job haha! I have the box of props but my miniature like that is just the plain ole gray.

Oh man, I just got my box in the mail and have no self discipline to leave it sitting unopened :crylaugh:

thanks for the offer though! Surely someone in the discord will gladly take it!

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

Didn't realize there way a dedicated tabletop thread here. My gaming group and I have pretty much decided we're sticking to AD&D for the foreseeable future just because we're tired of all of Hasbro's shenanigans with D&D and 5.5...though if they want me to DM again we'll be going back to 5E because that's what I feel comfortable doing.

Also planning on going to Gen Con this year so that'll be fun.

    there is one way out

I have friends who have run game Kickstarters, and they're just twiddling their thumbs waiting for their manufacturing to finish or boats to arrive to see what they owe now. Companies are going to go under, and people are going to lose a lot of money because of this.

They can't strongarm this kind of manufacturing into the States when there is NOTHING to start from. It's going to be an absolute mess. Game prices are going to go up at least 30%, probably closer to 50% in the near future.

I’m definitely glad I decided to splurge when I did because that’s like a 30% increase

Finally got to play with my new FG stuff.

played Terror From Destiny at Camp Happy Trails and actually won on the first go!

love the dice tray a lot. Unsure how I feel about the supplemental play mat but need to pay more with it

I just played against Gepetto for the first time and got my ass handed to me. The rules were a bit tricky to stay on top of, especially because I had four event cards, but it was a total blast. Love the theme so much and for half the game there was a werewolf wandering around fucking shit up.

    Was that a special victim?

Gepetto is definitely difficult with all the bastard minions

Yep, he panics every upkeep phase and damages anyone whose space he ends up in, including enemies. He can’t be saved, targeted, or killed, so it was kind of hilarious to just have a werewolf running around practically the entire game. He killed a puppet which was nice.
