Pretty incredible that SZA casually dropped the best song of the Pop Punk Revival as a deep cut halfway through her 23 song album
Was supposed to see her tonight in Philly but I just got a fkn postponement email. Nothing going on at the Wells Fargo Center tomorrow so maybe tomorrow She did this in 2018 and I'm honestly very annoyed. Anyway, I was listening to her discography to prep before I got the email. Absolutely WILD to listen to Z now. I don't think I've ever heard it in full. Actually sounds nothing like her. Her voice has matured so much since that if I heard this randomly, I wouldn't even know it's her. It's different but stuff like Warm Winds, Hiiijack, and Sweet November are undeniably incredible. Clearly the talent and versatility was always there. Would be cool if she returned a bit to that weirdness.
I honestly still like her pre-CTRL stuff the best. Totally different vibe but I love the ethereal feel to it all Julia is incredible
I like the digital art way better. Down for the SOS in the top right but zoom the hell out and give me that sense of cosmic isolation.
