Think I would have preferred a soundtrack of Sigur Ros and the like for GOT, but this is okay too (kinda weird).
@OotyPa Yeah, this certainly isn't like... the vibe of the show, but we kinda just have to look at it as another marketing tool they are using. They have been able to wrangle a TON of huge artists across genres and attach the "Game of Thrones" name to it. It adds even more to the constant stream of news and ads for GOT that everyone is getting and gets the message in front of more eyes (ears). Definitely more of a marketing tool than a show companion piece, ya know?
Yeah, I figured it was a marketing tool and feels kind of icky in that way, but if the music is good even if it conflicts with the tone of the show, what do I have to complain about?
Never dug his songwriting from what I’ve heard. Not so much in fun., and i don’t like Bleachers or Steel Train. Haven’t given the Lorde record a fair enough listen to know my thoughts. I guess I don’t have negative feelings about him per se, but I don’t feel anything positive either.
Check out the new Kevin Abstract album or Red Hearse or even Lana Del Rey if you want to hear what he can do
