Found Hypnotize in a charity shop yesterday and had it in my car since. I feel like it gets treated unfairly, there's so much great stuff on there.
Haven't listened to them side by side in a while, but I love both equally. Both those albums kick ass.
Funny this thread got bumped because I haven't listened to System in years probably but I decided to put on the self titled record yesterday in the car and immediately it went to full volume with me playing drums on the steering wheel, screaming along to the lyrics and headbanging for the entirety of the album. I know everyone loves the stuff that follows (and I like it too), but the debut is my favorite of theirs and I'd kill for a full album show.
Lol went looking for this thread not realizing it had been bumped so recently. But the real reason why I came here...
I have never listened to toxicity (or any other SOAD album) all the way through. Until today. Unsurprisingly this shit is awesome
When I was younger they used to be one of my favorite bands. Getting older, I didn't listen to them that much anymore. When they played Belgium in 2015 I instantly bought tickets because I never got to see them before. I didn't know what to expect, I feared it would not be good. But hey how wrong was I. It was an amazing show and the atmosphere was insane. Really good setlist to. I remember they played over 30 songs and I was really enjoying Mr. Jack and War.
Back at their height in 2003 they were playing a festival in San Diego and the ad had SOAD on it, so I thought System of a Down and SOAD were two separate bands... silly me.
Randomly got on a SOAD kick a couple days ago and have been listening to them basically nonstop since. Toxicity is such a phenomenal album.
