I am sorry to say that despite liking Daron-led songs in System, Scars has never done anything for me.

 

Despite the fact that Daron is ostensibly in control of both bands, Scars is roughly comparable to Serj's solo material. I'm not sure what that says but sometimes things can be better than the sum of their parts.

 

I like Serj's solo material more than Scars but like System more than both. It actually says something to me that Serj's releases of songs he wrote for System are the best things he's done in years.

 

Haven't given it a listen yet but I'm not expecting much. His debut had its moments, but overall, Serj's first album remains the best post-SOAD release

Just saw that come across my FB reels. Yeah that's super awesome.

 

Holy shit - how fucking cool for everyone involved. I’ve seen a few cover bands at Cubby Bear but never seen one of the originators hop on stage haha.

 

After not seeing system for a decade last night was insane and incredible and delivered on so many levels. They are playing most of toxicity at these shows so that’s pretty cool. They sound incredible and their visuals are so sick. Most definitely the best $91 I’ve ever spent especially with the view I had

 

So jealous.

 

That lighting looks bananas. The setlist looks BOMB for their mini-residencies.

The political takes of their songs were the best part of SOAD

 

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that this band got worse the more Daron got involved

 

to clarify, this is the kind of shit that repels me from any artist across all mediums of art/entertainment

 

It's not like they're making new music as SOAD with any questionable takes. I don't need to listen to whatever centrist shit was just posted in here when I can listen to "Prison Song" again

He didn't make it alone though, it's a good thing SOAD didn't release more music when I think about it. Daron needs someone like Serj to rein him in and it's even more clear after listening to his mediocre solo output

 

No wonder Serj doesn’t want to do new SOAD music lol when you have Daron and John being idiots I wouldn’t want to talk new material with them either
