Obviously I'd never argue with someone for voting Godfather, but Goodfellas has my heart

 

How to choose - to me it's like 1 and 1A. Both, when on TV, I will stop and watch the rest of the show.

You can quote both of them, with many many lines of dialogue. From 'Make him an offer...' to 'How am I funny..."

I’m mostly joking cause it’s felt like the recent films generally did better in the bracket.

 

I've seen Goodfellas a million times, Godfather only once but it's still the Godfather by a significant margin for me.

 

No one should feel bad voting either way for this. They are both timeless for different reasons and in different eras. Like someone said earlier, if I'm changing channels and I see either of them on, I'm leaving it on. I went with The Godfather because it's as polished a film as you'll find, but Goodfellas is like a fine wine. I can watch it 10000 times and it's like I'm seeing it for the first time each time.
