Swamp Thing (DC Streaming Service)

This could seriously go either way.

 

I dig the trailer. love the Alan Moore and Scott Snyder runs of Swamp Thing so I'm definitely checking it out and hope it's good. I enjoyed Titans, but feel like it has an opportunity to grow and be better in season 2. Loving Doom Patrol.

Would love for us to get a legit Constantine show, still with Matt Ryan, and have them cross over, but we'll see.

 

This trailer has the best sound effects of all time.

 

I'm into it. Some creepy stuff in that trailer.

 

Can't wait for Friday.

Pilot was decent. Not as immediately on board as I was with Titans or Doom Patrol, but I'm definitely interested to see where it goes.

Autopsy sequence was pretty awesome.

 

Giving the pilot a watch tonight. Good so far. About half way in. Hospital scene was fucked upppp.

 

The reviews I saw were all lauding it for its over the top body horror. Excited to watch.

 

Do any of these shows ever come to other streaming services?

 

Not likely. Everyone has their own platforms now.

 

Bummer. I’d be interested in it and maybe Doom Patrol since that seems so bonkers, but not worth paying extra for it.

It sounds like they are releasing it episodically like they normally would

 

Weird. Gonna be annoying if there's a cliff hanger. I liked the first episode.

Just release um all. Hah. The ATT/TW merger sucks.

 

I was going to watch this tonight or tomorrow but I'm not sure I want to invest time in something that's not moving forward which is super frustrating.

 

Damn that sucks.

 

That explains why they suddenly told producers to cut the final 3 episodes.

I guess I don't get why they can't just find a new location and shoot season two next year. What's the point of cancelling one episode in?

I really really love the first two episode. Excellent horror and it’s following the source material nicely. Probably one of my favorite DC adaptations.
