They already trotted out the "Wah wah why does every kid these days have to get a trophy?" bullshit in the preview. If they're really going to play up the Gen X/Millenial stereotypes like they did in the preview, the season will be borderline-unwatchable. Like, they understand that only a very very very small percentage of millennials are able to make a living off of youtube videos, right? Like, it's not indicative of the entire generation?
Love the ending, surprised no one got her winning, I counted 2 Aubrey 4 Michelle with Nick unknown. Aubrey came off badly at tribal. Glad Michelle won, yay
Worst winner since Natalie White. There's no way she deserved to win over Aubry. It's not even a case of the jury being bitter, they just made the wrong decision.
I'm pretty happy Michelle won. While didn't play as hard as Aubrey. Sometimes you leave too much collateral in your wake (though Aubrey was quite political in her ways unlike a Russell H). Plus we're not there just an 45mins every 3days Not a fan of next seasons theme. I never heard of term millenials. I always said GenY. Gonna be worse stereotyping than the other class seasons which didn't do too much. Especially this season
Haven't watched the trailer, but usually the theme-ing of seasons is insufferable until the first tribe swap, then it definitely goes away significantly. Now, if there's a final 2 and one is Millenial and the other is Generation X..........
Yeah I'm glad Michelle won. I feel like there must have been really weird edit or something because I feel like she wouldn't win 6-2 or whatever against someone "more deserving". It would at least have been closer I'd think if she was less deserving.
I have absolutely no problem winning Michele winning, but I'm still quite shocked and would have voted Aubrey myself. In retrospect though, I think you can make a case that Michelle played as big a role in manipulating the game as Aubrey did. I'm wondering if the divide in perception comes from the confessionals. I think Michelle was really boring and lacked personality in confessions, but Aubrey had a personality and went into more details on her moves for the camera. But in the end if you look at each vote, I don't think their resumes are too different. I'm also not going to fault Michelle for not having to go to tribal early.
Sorry but I don't think you can look at this season and say Michele was the best player. And compare her to the last few winners - Tyson, Tony, Natalie, Mike, Jeremy - she's not in the same stratosphere. Aubry played such a solid game and I'm gutted for her.
She's certainly bottom 10 on a list of most exciting winners. But I think the fluid nature of alliances this season made it hard for anyone to really build a rock solid resume
And FWIW, there were only 5 normal tribals post merge (excluding medivacs and fire making). Aubrey was 5/5 and Michelle was 4/5 (not voting Scot out). Weird season, so I can see why social game played a bigger role.
Disagree, just because you didn't like the way she played mean she didn't play. Aubrey played in SO many wrong ways to win this particular season
Cydney's Ponderosa is rough stuff and definitely makes me think a couple jury members voted Michelle over Aubry out of pure bitterness.
In what context? And was I the only one who noticed how huge Cydney's parents seemed to be? They're the strongest family in America.
Kelley Wentworth retweeted something about Michele truthers, and after googling around it seems to be a pretty common term in the fandom, but I'm still unsure as to what exactly it means. It seems like it has something to do with her edit or something, and it's unclear as to whether it implies a persons like or dislike for her.
Oh. Yeah, it seems to be obnoxious edgic obsessives who come to conclusions about who the winners are during, like, Episode 9 and then talk about the season as if that person (Michele in this case) already won.
The more I think about it, the more I think its just that Aubrey "showed she was strategizing" more than she "strategized well"
Agreed with this, but I also wouldn't say Michele 'strategized well'. TBH no one really strategized that well this season.
