He has an idol for this next one. Which means at the very least he’s guaranteed to make fire for his spot in the final 3. Game is his to lose.
Yep, Twitter was going insane last night revealing things about him. Wonder how the jury feels about their votes now (Karla especially seems to be taking a lot of heat).
I thought it was so petty when they showed Karla's vote ahead of the reveal, then to learn everyone else except one voted for him too... I hate it. I also hate how many of the jury said that he convinced them at final tribal, plus that weird checklist thing they all talked about at ponderosa... Yeesh
I feel like I saw another person do this in the same challenge. Tried to make a word with a V, but they were using a U. Or something like that.
Really wanted Jesse to make it to the end. I hope they bring him back for another season, the moves he made at the end were so good
A Jesse win would've been the most satisfying, and probably would've put him in top 10 winners discussion. But I think they did enough in the merge episodes to show Gabler active, building relationships, calling himself "hiding in plain sight", talking strategy, etc.
Gabler did not deserve to win, I don't care how much he built relationships at the end. If I remember correctly he spent days lying in the shelter too weak to do anything, said he wanted to go home, annoyed the others in the beginning, and made no memorable moves.
I agree fuck gabler for many of the reasons already mentioned. BUT him covering the tribe mates with leaves while they were sleeping “to keep them warm” was maybe the hardest I laughed all season.
He did deserve to win, because he convinced the jury to vote for him, and that's how you win Survivor. Which he did. BUT it was a very disappointing win from a viewers perspective for so many reasons. No matter how ANY winner played their game, every winner deserves to win because they convinved the jury to vote for them, and that is how you win Survivor
I can understand why people might agree with “fuck Gabler”, and I might feel the same way if I did as much research as you all have…but we only saw at most 2.5% of the entire tribe’s time on the island (26 days, ~16 hrs of show runtime). Even less if trimmed down to runtime featuring Gabler. I doubt he would have made it that far if he was outwardly a bad person (big assumption but I think fair). Not to mention he’s supposedly donating the entire winnings to a charity and felt genuine in his reason/passion for helping others. If this reads as me defending his personal societal takes/political affiliation, then I want to make it clear I’m not. Just feel like there have been less deserving winners in past seasons.
Yeah. Can’t believe people online are arguing about “deserving a win” of survivor in 2022 We as viewers aren’t on the island or ponderosa. We will never truly know the why. Should be mad at production for making it feel empty or whatever.
I binged the season over the weekend. Pretty meh. No idols played until final 5 (or 6 can't remember). The edit definitely didn't do Gabler any justice. Besides the one ep where he won immunity and said each minute was for a different person he was basically non existent. Then for the jury he made some jokes and it appears he won strictly because he made them laugh. Obviously Jesse would have been a clear cut #1 if he would have been able to make fire but he couldn't so he didn't deserve to win. Anyway, hope next season is better!
