This definitely helps explain why those votes ended up the way they did. Thought it was weird that there was one random vote for Mike.

 

I started to think Joe was getting the winner's edit a couple weeks ago so I was very happy to see him go this week.

Can’t believe next week is the finale. This has been a really enjoyable season to watch. Also they have such a strong top 5, it’s wild

 

Ben V Chrissy final would be so wild the hate is so real there

 

Idk about that twist. Great competitors being voted out right before the finale has always been an issue and makes for an anticlimactic finale, so it makes sense they'd want to do something about it, but the way it played here was that production was trying real hard to save Ben.

I really hate it when people use their veteran status as an advantage. Disappointing but completely predictable ending.

Also I think the twist is bad because it gives the winner an unfair advantage over the other two at final tribal.

 

The twist is a gigantic black eye on what was on pace to be a legendary season. Really unfortunate.

 

The worst part about that twist is next season is already filmed so even if they come to their senses and back out of it, we're still gonna see that twist in at least one more season

 

I also think putting idols out there after a certain point, like final 6 or so, really ruins a lot of the game too. I want to watch strategy not a scavenger hunt.

Happy for Ben but I agree that the twist felt wrong. I don't want to think they did it to keep him around but it sure felt that way. It would have been neat if they used it earlier in the game not at such a crucial point. I liked all of the other advantages and twists this season it spiced it up a bit. A really fun season to watch.

Also, my last minor gripe, we didn't get to hear from the rest of the cast. They all looked good but I wanted to hear from them.

 

Ben 100% deserved it, buuuuuut I am not a fan of HOW he got there. No matter who won the challenge, it benefited Ben, which is totally unfair.

With no twist, if Ben wins then he is safe, but all 3 other scenarios he is going home.

Ben wins twist: benefit for him picking who goes with him, doesnt matter really who he sends to fire.
Everyone else wins: Ben obviously would be one of the bottom two, making sure he gets to play for fire, raising his chances considerably.

I feel bad for Devon, but they will definitely bring him back.

I still HATE the new final tribal format, so annoying

 

Yeah, twist absolutely felt like it was rigged to make sure Ben had the best chance of getting to final 3. And they must have known that’s how it played for jeff to have been like “no, but wait! It’s part of the game now!”

Would have been happier with Chrissy as a winner for that reason, but still a good season overall.

 

It's the same kind of shit Big Brother does when a favorite is in trouble, it happened a LOT last season

 

I think Ben definitely played the best game but that twist made for a bogus end. That final three ended up better than I thought. Even Ryan made some good points in his appeal. I think each of the final three embodied a piece of the Outwit, Outlast, Outplay motto of the show.
