episode day bump. I'm predicting either this week or next week will be our last episode before they go back to 2 tribes. I like the split into three, but I really hope this doesn't become one of those things that people "expect" every season (at the time of filming this they'd only seen it done once, except for zeke and michaela of course)
also if you're in tune with the spoiler community (this isn't a bootlist, but I guess it gives away some boot order) Something big happens within the next few weeks involving Varner. Rumor is it involves Zeke being trans so it might end up being pretty nasty. Varner said in an interview that something that "changes him for good" happens that he thinks will be "hard to watch". He's also apparently been super pro-trans on twitter lately. Some theories that have been floated: Varner just simply outs Zeke as trans Varner uses Zeke not being out to convince others he's not trustworthy and get Zeke voted out "for being trans" (these don't make sense with Varner's personality - so let's go to the crazier ones) Varner gets removed from the game for outing Zeke. And if you follow Russel Hantz on twitter...Varner attacks Zeke saying "if you wanna be a boy I'll treat you like a boy" (But it's Russel so who knows) Brad says something that Varner sees as transphobic (not necessarily an actually transphobic comment, something like Brad/Zeke arguing, Varner overhearing and misinterpreting) and gets physical with Brad, leading to Varner being removed from the game. The last one goes in line with a leak saying that Brad is "the villain" of the season, but he's super liberal so him actually making a transphobic comment seems unlikely. And voting out Zeke "for being trans" seems unlikely because at some point someone in the alliance that gets him out would HAVE to be smart enough to put a stop to that but personally i think (and hope) it's just like, Varner saying something transphobic and then having a heart-to-heart with Zeke (like Brett/Zeke last season) and becoming a better person or something.
boot spoiler pertaining to the person at the center of the controversy in my above post We'll know within the next two weeks IIRC. Two weeks from now is a double-episode, which, according to the bootlist circulating, is Varner's boot, so maybe they wanna bury it in a double episode? But the source of the specific, "these are the storylines of the season", even though they're somewhat reliable, also said Aubrey was responsible for getting Tony out, which at least as we saw it (and from exit interviews), wasn't true.
ozzy officially has played the most days of anyone in survivor history. also from the preview for next week the returner is very likely the true gamechanger, boston rob. he disappeared from social media around the time they were filming when this would happen and then tweeted about returning to his poker dreams after an unexpected 'three week hiatus'
There's no way he/her just joins the game, but maybe he'll be part of a challenge or something dumb like Big Brother does
from the preview like in kaoh rong, they're probably doing the merge into 2 tribes with an odd number, sending the odd person out to exile island like julia. And like when julia went, it was a waste of screen time watching this poor girl be absolutely miserable; so odds are whoever goes to exile gets the "reward" (heh) of spending a few days awkwardly alone on an island with boston rob
Michaela is prob in my top3 fave players ever. She's sooo good I love how she has this cute friendly face. But she's this DGAF chick who would knock you out
Finally got to watch this week's episode... I somehow dislike Debbie even more this season than last time she was on; was hoping their tribe would go to tribal. I was screaming at JT to play his idol ever since he found it; shot himself in the foot 2 weeks in a row. Next week looks good.
Wow, it actually happened. Good for everyone else for pulling the trigger, what a tribal! Poor Tai really seems to be flailing a lot and getting lucky
Haha, I kinda would have preferred him to Cochran honestly, not that I dislike Cochran, but whatever. The whole thing is kinda silly/hokey, but I do like the twist that exile is secretly awesome hah
A lot of entertaining players (Malcolm, Tony, JT, and now Sandra have now left, I hope Debbie gets the boot soon
That's one of the dangers of casting an all stars season, is the big players are also the big threats, and the less exciting ones kinda cruise through
I wonder if the awesome Exile is gonna be like that the whole time or just a one time thing for the person who got kinda screwed by their bad luck
