It’s truly incredible how good of a social game Cirie is playing again. Coming back from exile and immediately swaying the vote was impressive.
She’s been practicing in all her time between seasons. Incredible performances on Traitors, Big Brother, and AU Survivor in recent years too.
Her showing up and just smacking Ozzie with a look of "are you an idiot" cracked me up Almost as much as Crissy putting Coach in time out They should honestly do a whole season of Survivor Duos. It adds a lot of fun dynamics to the game and could be cool to see how a whole season played out that way Crissy definitely up there with Genevieve in terms of being shafted by luck. Getting tied to Coach was a death sentence especially with Tiff getting immunity. I think at least half the cast goes home too in that situation
Felt super bad. That's literally the only thing that took him out of the game, if he didn't lose he was safe!
This season is more of let's watch celebrities manipulate the game while the players go along with it vs let's watch the players actually play. Almost all agency was taken away from Christian last night. They could have told the players the challenge before they chose a player. Not having Christian read the twist in front of everyone would have been much better. I mean no surprise but it is even more annoying with these players. And whatever font they chose for the 50 in the logo needs to be destroyed.
I feel like they would have had him open it to see...maybe. Also kinda feel like they wanted whoever did it to lose so it was tilted more in that direction.
If Christian couldn’t complete that puzzle in time I doubt any of them could…it was designed to be lost.
Yeesh that penalty was harsh. I don’t know if I could handle getting voted out of Survivor due to a rule Jimmy Fallon came up with
Watching Christian go to Cirie being like "We should take out Ozzy" I think highlights just how good her social game is. Everybody knows Christian and Aubrey and Devins were working together. Everyone knows Stephanie and Joe and Jonathan are working together. But Cirie keeps her cards so close to her chest, even a good player like Christian didn't realize Ozzie was her co number 1. Not to mention, everyone knows she's a social mastermind. yet they still all end up assuming they are the one is Cirie's real #1. It would've made for bad television, but Jenna was absolutely right.
Christian was pretty cooked regardless, but yeah that penalty straight up sucked and just made it so obvious he had no chance.
Kudos though to the editors for making me think it could be Emily for a minute. Felt a little bamboozled when no one voted for her, but I didn't go into tribal thinking it was 100% Christian. Dumb twist, and I'll miss Christian, but I'm thankful for what he brought to the pre-merge. I didn't necessarily need to see him make it much farther.
