Aus EP 16&17 I'm liking this season. Not loving it, just liking it. Like I said before, while I LOVE the returnees....it's plainly obvious it's been THEIR season. Now that the cast has been reduced post merge, there definitely some characters in the newbs. But they won't get to shine because this is definitely Mark (RIP) and Simon and Brooke's season. It may make for a boring stretch but I wouldn't mind Brooke or Simon winning everything from here on out. It's been too long since we've seen Brooke and she's such a classy act. And Simon, after everything he's been through, all his blunders and failed attempts at reading the game. I wouldn't mind seeing either one win it all. This season HAS produced some of the worst layers in Australian Survivor history like Tez and Cameron though. Just bad bad bad gameplay lol.
Man, I hated that episode. I started it hyped and ended it almost not caring about the rest of the season. Yes, the twist just happened to take out my three favorite players, but seeing Genevieve getting completely screwed over all season and Colby's 25 year legacy just ending like that was awful. All the players taken out were playing great. And they all get voted out based on a rock draw. You can't do that with all star players. Let them freaking play.
Idk, on one hand I do think the game has always and will always involve some luck, rock draws have been there since the beginning in some form. My bigger problem is the show has been so unwilling to give us larger group votes recently. 17 person merge? Cool! That’s really interesting and we’ve never seen vote dynamics that large. Only to break them into these groups of 5 where it’s often very predictable how things are going to play out.
Yeah I mean, it's all part of the game, and Genevieve all season hasn't been able to shake the Aubry of it all, and it led to her demise unfortunately
A 17 person vote would be so chaotic. Really really hard to control from a social standpoint. Would also probably have felt like dumb luck whoever got targeted But at least it would have been a fun ride. When else would they give us the chance to do a 17 vote tribal where the top two vote getters go home? Sure it's pure chaos but it would also be a lot of fun
Tyson was discussing it on his podcast and suggested what would REALLY be chaotic would be do all three votes right after each other, surprising them. So they wouldn't know it's three people going home, they just go in to vote and then after whoever goes home Jeff surprises them and is like NOPE, time to vote the 2nd person.....they do that and then Jeff is like HAHA DO IT A THIRD TIME.
AUS EP18 Oh Simon. Oh Simonnnnmnn. He was sweating bullets at tribal, I would have loved to see them fo to rocks and see if production would actually let him take two. If they don't, he can always claim he wasn't aware but he was so nervous I don't think he could lie out of it.
Aus EP20 Good god. I have zero idea who's gonna win this now. I have a tiny feeling Caleb was gonna vote for Sally but Jackson giving his BROOKE IS THE REAL UNDERDOG speech sold him on going for her. Sad that Keely decided not to go to rocks and Jackson looked like someone killed his puppy lol. I'm still astonished at having no idea who is winning this!
Aus ep21 AHHHHHHHHH if you would have told me this would be the final 4 I'd have called you a liar. Now all I can ask for is a Jackson win??? No one's done anything, and only Caleb has done anything out of those 3 to warrant any recognition, so I can only assume he wins if Jackson goes. Brooke and Keely imo made their moves wayyyyy too early. As SOON as they were vulnerable they go home, and it just so happened to be right after they turn on their ally. As soon as Brooke got rid of Simon, and she didn't win, boom. As soon as Keely gets rid of Brooke, BOOM. They should have gotten rid of someone on the other side for that vote to ensure they maintain the majority, instead of inching ever closer to a tie. Jury was NOT impressed with Sally at all, she basically ensured she's getting zero votes with the way she did Keely like that. I dunno who looked more defeated, Jackson or the jury lol.
Ya know, I wouldn't be upset with those 3 as the final 3. Rizzo def ain't winning I feel but take him to the end.
Every episode (honestly of ALL her seasons), I am just shocked that Cirie can keep herself out of the limelight and off the chopping block.
my power rankings, not necessarily by who is playing the best game, but who I would like to see win Cirie Ozzy Christian Devens Tiffany Rizo Emily Stephanie Aubry Joe Chrissy Coach Jonathan

Basically mine l, I kinda go back and forth with Cirie and Ozzie though. Wasn't as hot on Tiff but the latest episode put her back in there. Disappointed at Joe, was hoping for more from him.
The editing around Coach was incredible this episode. I love how further into the episode, they cut to him mid analogy, then cut to Joe staring blankly, then cut back to an actual gameplay conversation nearby. Office-level comedy and editing.
I think not being able to play the idols this season on others feels like it's weakening the season a bit. Aubury could have done a lot of chaos if she played her idol on someone else to burn it Also feel like the editing around "the middle" was poorly done. It wasn't just coach crazy talk cause others referenced it but I have no idea who is supposed to be on the side opposite coach/Jonathans bullshit. I would've guessed cerie/Ozzie/Rizo but they were talking to Rizo about the plan so who the fuck is it?
AUS EP22 The only good thing going on is Jacki dominating challenges. It'll be interesting to see who comes out in top with the upcoming torture chamber though. Loz may have just boosted Caleb's game too, what was she thinking lol.
Well that's another season in the books. Overall, I think I enjoyed it more than last season. It may have had a slower start but it was full of big-move-itis and some truly bizarre gameplay. Excited for next season changing location to Malaysia!
