Kyle and Kamilla saved the season from being an all-time worst one. I liked the finale. Seems like a bunch of likable as hell people who production loved but they just couldn't get a good game out of them.

Editors also being whack to the end. Feels like Kamilla and Eva were propped up as the main characters in this episode and Kamilla didn't even get to final tribal.

 

Agree with everything @Lucas27 said. The cast was enjoyable as human beings but this was overall a snoozefest of a season. No compelling moves or anything really memorable.

Funny that Jeff mentioned on the podcast last week that this was a "blockbuster" of a finale. Even the fire making challenge was a dud (that has GOT TO GO in my opinion).

Really hoping that once they get to season 50, they shake up the formula a bit heading into season 51 and beyond.

 

It’s so hard not to get caught up in leaked cast rumors lol. There’s one supposedly “real” one going around that comes from someone who has credibly leaked these casts in the past. But it has Mike White on it and I just think there’s no way that would happen.

Just have to tell myself to wait until Wednesday.

I would have obviously preferred a Jesse type in this cast, but I think it's pretty solid overall. I personally think having five people from 48/49 is too much but that would be my only real gripe overall.

I mean I was seeing talk of people being surprised that Elisabeth Hasselbeck was cut so it could have been much worse.

 

Overall pretty happy with the reveal until he got to the end. Way too many people from seasons 47/48/49. Would've been nice to spread the new era love out to make it more equal between seasons 41 - 49.

 

Strong, strong cast. A good mix of old, new, fan favorites, deeper cuts. Sure I would pick and choose a few differences, but that's true of any cast that would be put together. Looking great

I really just wish it was a bit more spread out with only like 1 (ideally) or 2 max from a single season represented. That way everyones truly going in the way Survivor is played - alone at the start. Now there's a possible 48 alliance from the jump with Kyle, Kamilla, and Joe that can either help or hurt their game tremendously. But overall I'm happy and cant wait to watch!

 

All my griping aside, I do still want to see *just* a New Era returnee season. Soon I hope.

Yeah, 3 from 48 is a little much but this show loves recency bias in its returnee seasons. I’m overall pretty happy with this, like 80% of it is people I’m excited to see again. Could do without Colby, Ozzy, Stephanie, and like Kyle (but only because we JUST saw him win). Everyone else will be fun!

He’s just such an insane personality. I’m laughing any time he’s on my screen. I would have maybe preferred him for something like Traitors honestly, but still thrilled to see him again.

No Jesse baffles me too. But if I remember correctly, he wasn't making much money working the job he was during his season. Maybe he's just not able to leave home again for 5-6 weeks.

 

Jesse would have done it and was very much in the mix according to his twitter posts. It is indeed baffling to have cut him to put on so many people from 46-49.
