Oh that sounds really annoying hahah. I'm glad I don't delve that deep into the fandom because that sounds like it could definitely get obnoxious.
Agreed. I would say they're about equal, and neither great. So if the ties goes to Michelle based on social game I ain't mad
This is also the Fandom that treats Francesca as a mathematically better player than Russell Hantz. And I hate this narrative going around that Michele won because Scot and Jason are misogynists who had their "egos shattered" by Aubry
Also, that has to be one of the worst reunions in recent memory. So much garbage and so little talking to the players.
I actually made a comment to my mate I'm surprised Cydney isn't a bigger sized body builder after seeing her parents cause she sure could have got some genes/pedigree from them mum is a rig and the old man is a barrel chest beefcake, they look fantastically fit for their age
Yeah there was a shocking one a couple seasons back and the last 2-3 had been very good with chatting to everyone. But as nice as gesture and cool it was to see Sia being a mega fan of the show, that prob went 3-4mins to long and could've been done in the credits or something Even Dr Obama didn't get a word in. Or even Neal I think? Was a shocking one. Still wish they flew Mark the Chicken in. Or showed what he's up to in Cambodia
Hopefully not as unbearable as the GenYs attention seekers that were on the current season of Amazing Race. YouTube "celebs" are just the worst and I'd be happy if they stopped being picked in reality shows (I do like Jenna marbles though and her gorgeous dogs) Sorry for not multi quoting
Yeah this past season of Amazing Race was really hard to get behind. I stopped watching about halfway through because I just didn't like anyone.
I can agree this amazing race was a bit rough, there were a few teams I could root for most of the way though
Just watching the finale now... YASSS Michelle! I'm gonna catch up on the rest of this thread that I missed in a bit.
I didn't say she didn't play, just that she didn't deserve to win over Aubry who made all the right moves at the right times. Not according to the jury I guess, but they got this one wrong.
I don't know how anyone can say the jury got it wrong. They have a totally different perspective that we can't relate to.
Exactly. To win survivor you have to be voted by the people playing survivor, theoretically the winner can't be anything but right
I generally don't care for what he says, but Fishbach made a good point about Michele winning, even though Aubry was the better player: Stephen Fishbach's Survivor Blog: In Defense of Michele's Win and That 11th-Hour Twist
I tend to think the jury twist helped Aubrey rather than the final 2 as they thought they were going to have to play for in the balancing balls challenge. As tai realised he voted for the wrong person it would've been 2 players against Aubrey to win immunity to pick their final 2 partner
Michelle is a "ehh" winner. Not horrible or undeserving but we weren't shown any moments of brilliance. I tend to think the jury voted for her in spite of Aubrey and Tai instead of voting for her as a player. Also, who casted the 2nd vote for Aubrey? I thought Debbie, but then I heard she stated that she would be vote Aubrey in Ponderosa. I have also heard Nick voted for Aubrey?
But the jury can vote based on disliking a certain person. If Michelle played any type of strategic game, the edit would have shown it. The producers can't make up stuff that didn't happen. If an eventual winner makes moves, we would have been shown it. The jury liked Michelle better than Tai or Aubrey.
I mean that's actively part of the game though. Jeff always says that at the end you have to be able to convince people who you directly or indirectly have a hand in voting out to vote for you and Aubry wasn't able to do that. I think it's just a more different, indirect brand of strategy.
Anyone who is unhappy with the Michelle win should go watch the "The Jury Speaks" videos which were recorded before FTC, gives you great insight into what the Jury members were thinking, and why Aubrey had no shot.
