I just started watching this last week, on season 3 now and loving it. Glenn and Chayenne are probably my favorite. Weirdly makes me nostalgic for working retail before I remember it's actually literal hell.
I had a huge “work family” in retail. In my law firm job I have...two acquaintances. It’s not the work side, haha.
Not gona lie this show is basically my entire source of happiness at the moment, big dumb grin the entire time. Just finished the healthcare episode and Glenn's flopping censored penis in front of Dina as Garret rolls in destroyed me. Not gona lie I would go back to work at a retail store if it were actually like this. Also all the stuff with Sal's corpse in the wall was so fucking dark.
I should have specified like a living wage. I used to push carts, but they also made me do stuff inside the store.
The mall dying is too real. I worked at the “thriving” mall, but we have another mall that died and so many coworkers lost jobs it was weird.
On season 4 and Amy throwing a yam at Glenns face made me feel alive again. I don't even want to catch up because then I can't watch 5 episodes every day
Still in season 4, it's only been a few episodes but I already really miss Glenn being manager. Feel like the dynamic doesn't work as well with Amy as manager
Yeah. That’s the one thing that doesn’t ring true to the retail experiences. Managers don’t just step down and stay around.
I have no problem with the realism of it, I just think he's a funnier character as a goof in charge than just another quirky employee.
