Debut album out on Domino.

 

I haven’t liked anything this band has done yet. We’ll see

 

Finally listened to their other songs. Nothing is quite as good as Something For Your M.I.N.D. but they're all solid.

 

everybody wants to be famous is the catchiest song but i truly hate it, heh

 

It’s so good!

 

i've heard it like 20 times because they play it every hour on the radio and i just cringe every time, then it gets stuck in my head and i'm not happy about it, ugh!!!!

also based on the two singles i've heard they seem so formulaic as well! this record is going to be huge though, one of the most obvious pushed bands i've seen lately

 

I can/could see myself hating this band in 6-12 months if I get unwillingly overexposed to them, but for now I think the songs are fun and good

 

This is fine, a bit fun. Most songs follow a pretty similar pattern. The best stuff comes from the pre-release singles. Doubt I'll come back to it much, especially considering the wealth of exceptional albums released today. Curious to see if it really takes off or if they fade into obscurity after a couple hits.

i heard reflections on the screen today and that song was actually solid

I dig this band but think they are an "industry plant" in a way. They just kind of sprung out of nowhere (I know some of them were in a nother band previously) and already have a lot of recognition and perks that most bands starting out don't get right away (Tiny Desk, KEXP, etc.) Something seems off about them but I do like the music so far, and would be down to see them live.
