That’s so exciting! Really enjoyed Blue Beetle and felt it got shafted by timing. Xolo was great in it as well
I thought Blue Beetle was a mixed bag of a film, where I could still really feel it starting life as a glorified TV movie. Some charming characters and interesting elements, but not exactly the most exciting superhero flick. I was literally just telling my friend the other week (while sharing my Supergirl disappointment) that I kinda wanted him to show up in Man of Tomorrow, though. James Gunn is better than most at juggling a big cast with different subplots in these things without it feeling like bloated nonsense. The more he works into here, even in small roles, the better. Now I just need my other wish of Supergirl and Hawkgirl teaming up for part of this thing.
I only knew Xolo from Cobra Kai, and when an actor is in a show that intentionally cheesey, I have no idea what to expect out of them. Was glad to see him do a solid job in BB.
Glad BB will be in this. I thought the blue beetle film in 2023 was fun and was a shame that it was attached to the DCEU. Glad they are bringing the character and actor into the DCU
I think even back then, Gunn said he would be moved to the DCU, but I wasn't totally convinced his character would take priority haha
