I will reserve full judgment until the trailer but yeah some of those shots in that teaser looked a little cheap Also interested in the costume design. Half the people are dressed modern, the other half are dressed like the 70's.
It's been confirmed that the trailer tomorrow will be all new footage and not any of the footage that was shown earlier on
There are people who have already seen the full trailer in 4K that are saying it looks fine, and that the reason for the perceived CW-like quality is because of Twitter video compression.
Also people saying that Gunn's intention with this movie is to give it a very bright optimistic vibe in contrast to the darker Zack Snyder DC films, and a lot of superhero film fans just aren't conditioned to that.
i suppose the teaser made it look a bit washed out, but no different/worse than so many recent blockbusters
Gosh, I am ready to unabashedly love a Superman movie and then fight with people online about it again. Please don't let me down, James Gunn. I've been hurt too many times.
haven't disliked and of his movies yet (though from where i'm standing super is far worst than the suicide squad or his gotg trilogy) so i'd be surprised if he fumbles the ball with this one
This exactly. As long as this teaser was just a weird thing and the trailer looks good it's going to be fantastic.
I might cry during this trailer tomorrow. Superman was my first superhero obsession when I was a little kid. I saw a glimmer of the real Superman with Cavill that I wish I could’ve seen fulfilled, but if this nails the feeling I want then it’s going to be incredible.
Oh yeah, I definitely loved Smallville as a kid. And Rosenbaum might be the best Lex we've had tbh. But Superman & Lois might honestly be my favorite live action depiction of Superman... Ever. Whether it be movies or TV. So bummed it's over
