Just saw this and really liked it. Which is strange for me because for as long as I can remember I never had the slightest interest in Superman and would often say I downright hated him. Definitely want more

 

yeah I liked this with some caveats, some of the jokes and tonal switchups didn't really land for me but overall a really good time and casting was impeccable. he's got me on the hook for a Justice Gang movie because I want more Isabela Merced and Anthony Carrigan in these roles

 

Didn't really care for Metamorpho, but Mr F stole the show for me.

 

some really good line deliveries here but The Bunk's completely deadpan "you still got that flying saucer on the roof Lois?" absolutely took me out. fantastic

 

His cigar is a character in this movie and that’s not up for debate

 

I missed that line cause that’s when I went pee pee

don't know how you could watch the movie and think krypto is an asshole

find rambunctious he's a good boy, I guess it's like the cat in Llewyn Davis, the best part of the movie and you just kinda wind up with them

 

Oh my God haha

 

The punk rock thing was a campy bridge too far for me at first, but the payoff was the best emotional beat of the movie imo

Loved the Peacemaker cameo. Not enough people have watched that show.

 

Having a strong week so far, hope it has a big second weekend too.

 

It’s going to hold pretty well this weekend. The real test will be once fantastic four is out to see how this holds. That’s def going to have a bigger opening weekend (marvel is still a stronger brand than DC all things considered) but after that weekend very curious to see how these play against each other

I personally have zero interest in F4. I haven't really liked a Marvel movie in forever, and have actively thought quite a few were bad bad, and all the trailers for that look so stupid imo.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't be so sure F4 gets a better opening weekend. Depends on the buzz and word of mouth.

 

Forecast looks like $125 million to $155 million for FF. Pretty wild that Marvel brand has stayed that strong? Good for Pedro I guess, but every time that looks-worse-than-the-Abyss-graphics-Silver-Surfer clip/ad shows up on my Instagram every 6 minutes, I don't have a good impression.
