Going to see this tomorrow night. I've been down on superhero movies for years. The last one I really enjoyed was Thor: Ragnarok. But this looks fun and, dare I say, wholesome?
anyway, i liked this just a little less than what the early reactions suggest. and that's mostly some momentum issues, as well as me not being totally prepped for what a cheesefest (i mean this positively!) this is at times. action is cool and the cast shines, it's just not quite something where absolutely everything comes together impeccably. grading on a curve but it's still the best superman in decades, and a rewatch could put it over the top for me. i do want to catch this again at some point

I didn’t know who Beck Bennett was before this past week. But, when I heard his voice on Doughboys and heard that he was in Superman, I was able to guess he was Steve Lombard.
I wasn’t until very recently, like maybe the last couple months? Needed a new pod in rotation at work, knew that it had overlap with other pods I dabble in, and now it’s become a fav.

extremely underrated snl guy the amy poehler pod also basically said he was the nicest, most well-liked member of the cast and i feel like that came across on the doughboys pod
