Superman has always been my favorite DC hero so I’m really looking forward to a film that finally embraces the positivity and hopefulness that comes with that character. This is probably my most anticipated film for this summer and there are a few bangers the next couple months
My prediction is naive Clark says he’s just going to do an interview as Superman and clear everything up and she’s role-play showing him what that would actually play out like.
Seems like he tried to save people and things went wrong and people/the public are mad. The "is he a US citizen/weapon doing shit on foreign soil" has been a story line before.
That settles it. Booking time off so i can go to an IMAX screening opening weekend with my best friend who is such a big Superman fan that he's been working on his own Superman scripts for years. Man's gonna cry like 5 times probably.
I like the feel of the trailer and think they nailed Supes, but it gives me pause on Hoult as Luthor. Hopefully it’s just the shots they chose, but it seems like a lot of him being super angry/yelling and he’s always been a character who, to me, keeps it together until the end when he’s beaten.
I think he seems like a great Lex (a character who tends to fluctuate between two equally valid poles of mad scientist and wealthy corporate figure) in that he’s terribly obsessed with Superman. That jealousy and pettiness and whatnot is already coming through. Also, it’s a fun choice to have a Lex with very pretty eyes, lol.
I like a more sophisticated, careful feeling Lex. Hoult seems more erratic. At least he's not Jesse Eisenberg levels, though Just the vibe I got from the trailer though! Impossible to tell yet. Doesn't affect me really looking forward to this
The teaser trailer had me all in expecting a fun time, the 2nd trailer lost me a little but I'll still see it.
The way he’s yelling in the 2nd trailer is very un-reeve and more man of steel vibes , that’s the only thing that stood out to me
