I wanna be optimistic about it but the trailers do nothing for me. I’d rather see a trailer for F4 than that, especially since Marvel REALLY wants that to work out. Well okay then, give us a teaser and stop doing that stupid “Oh well you weren’t at our convention so sucks to suck!” bullshit. Like put a trailer out, you’ve got like six-seven months to get people excited about it so why not start now? That Superman movie isn’t coming out until July and people are just buzzing about the teaser trailer, there’s no excuse for Disney and Marvel not to do the same, especially since they’re coming out around the same time.
But DC doesn’t have another DC movie to promote that comes out before Superman. Marvel has 2(?) more before FF. Cap and Bolts. Holding off on FF makes sense in that context. I do get what you’re saying, but it’s not surprising they haven’t shown FF publicly yet.
They just finished filming F4 recently. Why do they need to rush a public teaser trailer for something they just finished? If they released whatever they showed at the con, they'd probably get ripped to shreds for it not looking good enough for a movie they had just started filming.
They can’t even make a fucking Blade movie, how fucking hard is it to make a movie about a half vampire killing vampires? There’s no excuse at this point.
Like so much of the future of the MCU is depending on F4 so it’s crazy that they’re not trying to get people pumped up for it.
Okay? It hasn't been a couple of months though. And as Greg said, they need to promote other stuff first. Your other examples don't need to do that.
I can almost guarantee that people are more excited for Doomsday than F4. Am I one of them? No. But the future of the MCU does not rely on F4. It's just Feige's most personal project.
What are they promoting exactly? A movie that got pushed back so much that goddamn Happy Meal toys for the movie came out like almost a year before the movie did? A team up movie comprised largely of side characters that people don’t give a shit about? If I was Marvel, I’d be focusing more of the F4 movie instead of what will be middling box office returns.
The MCU ran out of gas and unless they make some hard choices here, it’s just gonna be more irrelevant as time goes on. Look at Star Wars if you don’t believe me.
TROS is the only Star Wars I hate, so bad example to use for me at least. Yeah Marvel is having issues, but they just had a massive hit this year. Let them cook on F4 instead of them rushing stuff to please people. That movie being actually good is far more important than people seeing what it'll look like. We'll probably get something next month anyway.
Andor and Skeleton Crew is the only shiz I care about, the neckbeards can enjoy the rest for all I care.
I’m sorry, honey, I didn’t want to be like that but dammit, that Superman trailer empathized so much that I’ve had issues with Marvel over the past few years and I just want them to get their shit together. I want both of them to do well ultimately, I love them both and where I’m coming from is out of love and not hate.
They want it for themselves, they can just fucking have it. I’m trying to enjoy it, not deal with them having baby tantrums.
Who is they and what do they want? I legitimately don’t understand what losers crying “woke” and shit on the internet for every Disney SW project has to do with the quality of the content. If you like it, you like it. Has absolutely no connection to the problems Marvel have right now.
