Song is good, not great. Wish it ripped but I like it still. 7” shipping is more than the record itself. Absolutely mindnumbingly stupid.
Are they the first band from this scene to regroup (potentially) because of a Tik Tok boom? I know Spotify stream counts aren't end all be all, but they have 2.5m monthly streams. A perceived bigger band, Coheed (usually my benchmark for something like this) has 1.2m. That's insane.
LP next year according to the boys on their pod today! Both new songs are on the record. Basically a promo ep.
Made a dedicated thread for the new record, will update it as more info comes. Cant believe its really happening: Superheaven - 2025 LP (TBA) • forum.chorus.fm
Didn’t get to the show early enough but they have 15 copies of the 7’ per show. New song absolutely rips live. They also played the other new one which is fast with Jake mostly singing. Very “knew” Esq. Also never seen a line for merch be longer for a support band than the headliner. While Youngest Daughter was the crowd favorite a good amount of folks knew the other material which I appreciated.
Most of the set list was Jar heavy. This is out of order but from what I can remember. Long Gone Sponge Life In A Jar Youngest Daughter Sheltered In On It New Song Around The Railing Knew Poor Aileen Maybe one song extra I’m blanking on.
Man, “In On It” rips so hard. Lyrics and vocal melody are an earworm. Riffs are sick as hell. I would let the drums destroy my hearing. They were so correct to make it the lead single for Jar. And it’s track 11! What a band
