Waluigi would be so easy to develop a unique move set for. I imagine him using the tennis racquet for his smash attacks lol.

The “echo” fighters are the biggest waste of space. Wtf is even the point of Dark Pit?

 

Dark Pit makes me irked because Kid Icarus wasn't even a game worth reviving, but they somehow did and managed to make a good game out of the new one. However, its fanbase is so incredibly small compared to the others we want more representation from.

I know this would never happen because apparently the origin of the player has to be a video game and not a real life thing made into a video game, but I'd love to see like Lebron James and Tony Hawk. Wouldn't fit really but I'd be into it.

 

Holy shit I forgot about Birdo. That’s another obvious one. I’m kinda surprised that all unique characters from The Mario universe haven’t been added. Waluigi, Birdo, Toad or Captain Toad, Luigi (or E Gadd) with Poltergust, Kamek, King Boo, Petey Pirhana.

I think Sakurai has said he doesn't want to overload the game with Mario characters, there's already a ton of them.

 

He should worry about that with Fire Emblem characters.

 

I’m pretty much fine with any new characters so long as they have moves that aren’t just a slight variation of another character. Like I was never particularly good with Shulk but his whole concept was so cool and creative.

The obvious ones to me that have wildly different move sets are:

Geno (Super Mario RPG)
Skull Kid (Majora's Mask)
Spring Man or Ribbon Girl (Arms)
Krystal (Star Fox Adventures)
Wonder Red (Wonderful 101)

Krystal not being in Smash is utter dick. What boxes does she not tick? Main cast from a flagship series; enormous moveset potential; another female character, which I know is something they focused on in Smash 4. Like, fuck all the way off. I'm gonna be bitter about this until the end of time.

Star Fox Adventures better show up on the Switch Online thing. I miss that game.

Agreed. Really visually impressive too given when it came out. The graphics on Link's tail were incredible.

 

I would love to play as Krystal w/ her staff. She’d have plenty of unique moves. Really there’s TONS of Nintendo specific characters they could still grab and that’s the main reason I dislike third party characters. They get so much more attention for “omg they did it they added Cloud the absolute mad lads” that it probably seems much appealing to them to keep doing that instead of more Nintendo chars.

 

I wish Krystal would play with my staff...
