Late to the main discussion but at this point my go tos are Yoshi and Zelda. I wanna get better with Mewtwo though, but he was one of the last I unlocked so I haven’t had much time with him yet

 

So I just now discovered that you can change any level into floating stage or a flare stage. This is game changing for me.

Also, I’ve been playing with items off recently and I’m not realizing how dependent my game was on rushing to the best items...

 

Is there a reason why they switched the menus around for Smash? Why is rules and stage selection before characters? Do most people prefer that in tournaments or something?

 

Some people would pick stages based on whatever character their opponent picked. So now you pick the stage prior so it’s fair.

It’s also a sly way of reducing loading times as well. While people are picking characters, the stage is already being loaded in the background.

 

is this confirmed anywhere? i love it when games do clever stuff like this.

yup.same here. is it usually just fine to send it to Nintendo for repairs? or are there any 3rd party shops i should know?

my left stick is wonky. and my R button is sometimes unresponsive

If it's under warranty, Nintendo. If not, just buy a new set 'cause they'll charge you the price of a new set anyway with the added bonus of leaving you without your Switch for 2-4 weeks.

 

That’s true, though sometimes Nintendo fixes shit for free, they have done so for me

 

My Gamecube adapter finally came today! I just got a third party one but it still works great. I've been playing off and on since Christmas but now I feel like I can really dive in
