Are we at the finals now? I think we gotta go best of five, I’d be down for best of three sets even.

 

Aye it's very counterpick heavy but the matchups where you have a disadvantage still don't feel like they're unwinnable which is nice

 

I take that back, I can’t win against these toon links who just start spamming and going from side to side. Camping is death.

 

How are the finals going down? Same rules?

 

In World of Light I almost exclusively use Smash attacks. Wents straight for the smash attack skill tree upgrade. Equip smash attack spirit. Equip smash attack support. Profit.

 

i’ve been thinking about this too and I think this is a good way to finish this tourney.

- bo3 (no change in rules for finals)
- bo5
- bo3, 3 sets
- bo5, 3 sets

Just to be clear, bo3 sets means a different character every fight?

 

I am not good at this game.

 

Managed to get my k rool back up to 2.5m by beating down an ike player who just wouldn't give up, poor guy. Consistently 3 to 2 stocked him and he kept on trying. Think I sank him down to 100k

 

Nah it'd be just like first to two sets

Sets would be first to two wins or first to three wins, no character limitations or anything

I like it because it feels more like double elimination

 

If there is another smash tourney I’m definitely in.

I think the only way to stream would be if one of you have a capture card..otherwise I think you could save the matches and then upload?

 

how do people stream stuff on twitch and youtube and the like? i thought a capture card was just for recording and posting gameplay footage after the fact

I honestly think Duck Hunt is becoming my main. In retrospect I wish I would have played him in the tournament. Kirby and MARIO have always been my main 1a and 1b and I really like Duck Hunt in the last one but something about him in this one makes me keep playing him when I play with my friends irl.

I probably need to gain a little more confidence before I pull him out in tournament situations though.

 

I’m going to try to diversify, I want to get better at Roy and Dedede, and maybe one of the space animals or Peach or Pichu there’s so many fun characters.

I don’t want to sink to a campy projectile character but if I had to use one it’d be Isabelle, she’s so cute.

 

Lucario is my favorite character but I'm not great with him. I guess my mains are Bowser/Lucina/Bowser Jr? lol
