Imo at this stage, with a roster in the mid 60s, adding iconic 3rd party characters makes way more sense than whatever bevy of (relatively) lesser known Nintendo characters we'd all individually clamour for.

 

Yea I'm pretty sure the new characters we're gonna be getting are 3rd party, there aren't that many Nintendo ones left. Unless they put the other of the big two requests over the past decade......K ROOOOOOOOOOOOL

I don't know. I think it just gets weird at a certain point. Where's the line?

Also there are tons of characters from existing and dead franchises. There's a TON of Zelda and Kirby characters they could do. Where's ARMS? They are literally fighting characters from Nintendo.

Stretches would be stuff from Wonderful 101, Custom Robo, Advance Wars, Geno (Super Mario RPG), and a bunch of others.

 

The more characters the better but the more non-Nintendo characters there are the less special the game feels.

Pit and the game he comes from are trash. Instead of reviving Advance Wars they revived a franchise that all three of its players barely remembered.

Kid Icarus Uprising is a fucking incredible game

Kid Icarus for og gameboy was awesome too

 

Pit as a fighter blows. Can’t speak to the character himself or his games, but as a Smash fighter I do not think he’s very good.

 

Talking about the original Kid Icarus.

Yeah, he's not lowest tier, but he's not very high either. He doesn't deserve to have him and Dark Pit in there when we don't even have one entry from Custom Robo, ARMS, Golden Sun, Advance Wars or Dillion's Rolling Western.

 

A character they should consider adding that makes a lot of sense is Simon or Trevor Belmont from the Castlevania series.

yeah a Belmont would make a lot of sense to me, thats probably the biggest Nintendo franchise thats absent from Smash right? i guess its an issue of its really not a Nintendo property but still, give us a Belmont!!!! pls no Alucard though we dont need another sword weilder. Ratchet/Clank and Shovel Knight are two others id love to see but at this point they seem unlikely. honestly i just want a game where a bunch of old forgotten game mascots whoop each others asses. Ratchet, Jak, Sly, Conkor, Spyro, Glover, Gex, Sir Fortesque, Banjo, Earthworm Jim, Viewtiful motherfucking Joe, etc

Marth has been my main since Melee, despite his nerfs he still crushes imo

 

Okay now Banjo might be the biggest missing character to me (after Waluigi). Need Dixie Kong, King K. Rule, Skull Kid, PAPER MARIO (how has this never been a character?), but please for the love of god no more Fire Emblem characters.

 

Waluigi doesn't even deserve to be in any Mario game let alone Smash of all games.

I do think Skull Kid is a smart choice.
