Just out of curiosity, did you play over wifi or were you directly connected?

The only reason I ask is because my buddy actually had one of those USB adapters where you can directly connect it to your router and I used that. But, it was one he had for his Wii U and I really wasn't sure if my switch was getting internet through wifi or for the direct connection to the router.

Would so love to have gotten involved but I think the lag would be disgusting if I played against any y'all.

My match vs tucah was perfect, no lag on my end at least. Then against incognito, minutes later, it was choppy as hell for me. It's frustrating - not because I lost but because I just want to have a good experience playing online.

 

Yeah my match with oldjersey was totally fine but I had a match the day before where the last minute took 5 minutes.

 

I was playing online for like an eight before, had no issues. I don’t know what it is sometimes.

Anyway I’m down to run it back from now to eternity

 

been watching some competitive smash and this is fun

 

I was watching a bit of Dont Park on the Grass and that Snake who won would be infuriating to play against.

There is actually a smash tournament this week at my local Gamestop and I'm considering going to it.

 

I’ve only been to one tournament and it’s a weird atmosphere for sure, but if it’s close by you should give it a shot.

 

Yeah I went to one a long time ago for brawl. Got annihilated in the first round and never tried one again.

 

we have a local esports arena doing weekly tournaments but I know I am still bad so that is a big no for me tbh.

 

Yeah I have a local place that does monthly tournaments, and I’m considering going at some point maybe. There’s a $10 entry fee though so I might not if I never feel confident enough lol

 

in case you all were curious this was some of the highlights from the amateur competitve tournament I mentioned earlier

 

Characters I’m already mad about just from online: Wolf, Roy/Chrom, K Rule, Inkling, Mewtwo, Link

Roy and Chrom can be gimped but they just hit so hard so quickly, it’s way frustrating

A local place hosted a tournament a few years ago and people ended driving over an hour to get there. I jumped spammed Kirby’s brick move and knocked one of the long-distance guys out of the tournament in the second round. I kinda felt bad that he traveled an hour and paid money to be knocked out that way.

 

I’ve been messed up by Wolf a few times online.

 

If he loses to Kirby brick move he doesn’t deserve to be there
