I'd suggest expanding the stage list to at least include FD, Smashville, Town & City and Fountain of Dreams.

I'm gonna lose all my first matches intentionally just so I can pick Fountain of Dreams.

 

My game hasn’t shipped yet so I won’t even be able to play until next weekend probably so you’d have to remove me if the tournament is starting so soon.

 

no worries. i can move the tournament starting date, because i know a few more people who haven't gotten the game yet.

 

I guess time to sign up for online play.

 

I really wish the Arenas had a text chat thing, just to say gg and shit like that. I always feel like a dick just leaving unannounced.

Has anyone tried using the right stick for tilt attacks rather than smash attacks? Trying it out now

 

I got destroyed by a short hopping Jigglypuff, 3-0, then barely won the rematch, I feel great

 

I made that change right away. There's a mechanic in Ultimate where you can do tilts immediately out of a dash, but I'm too sloppy to do it without the c-stick. Though the amount of times I've missed easy kills because I tried smashing with the c-stick is well into double digits now.

 

It's really interesting to watch a pro who uses your main and see how calculated and different their strategies are. I'm watching Nairo maining Dark Pit and it's drastically different than what I do. I really want to up my skill level, i've been on the same plateau for a while.

i actually got into Ness more because of Nairo before, haha.

 

I think this new game is going to force me to be a better player. Can’t roll around and double air dodging seems to be a thing of the past.

 

I've noticed I need to just straight up shield instead of dodge roll more often

 

It’s taken me a couple of days but I think I’ve finally gotten it down. It’s not super different from smash 4 but the differences are definitely there. I love it though

Edit: the muscle memory is just so damn engrained from the countless hours of playing I’ll still fall into the habit of trying to just roll around

 

I don’t even know what dodge roll or double air whatever is. So far it’s basically all power attacks with the occasional up special. I have so far to go...

 

there are so many fun tutorials out there on youtube that explains all this stuff i recommend you check it out.

 

Having so much fun with World of Light, but damn some of these matches are ridiculously difficult.

 

I’m mainly doing 4-player matches against CPUs and I keep getting my ass kicked. The weird thing is after each match I’ll have given out by far the most amount of damage (like... 5 times as much as each CPU) yet I keep getting 2nd or 3rd place.

 

You definitely have to pay attention to the difficulty. Leveling up your spirits helps a whole lot.

 

how the HECK do some of y'all have the whole/damn near the whole roster already??
