Does anyone know if there is going to be a demo for this before release? I just got my new Smash GameCube controller in the mail and really want to play it. I remember when I got the special code to download the demo for my DS was one of the best moments of my entire life.

 

Definitely no demo, the game comes out a week from now and at this point I doubt they’ll convince anybody to buy it with a demo.

 

Gotcha, it was just kind of wishful thinking on my part. One week and I will no longer have a life.

 

me and my co-workers have already planned to bring our switches to work and play during lunch. I love it.

 

I will be conveniently "working from home" next Friday

 

First DLC character announcement?

 

DLC has been speculated but I'm going with the other thought which seems to be a Metroid Prime trailer. Sure, DLC for Smash adds that last second hype to the game, but Metroid would be the bigger announcement for Nintendo at this point, and starts to legitimize the GAME Awards as a mini conference of sorts.

 

I would’ve guessed Metroid but Reggie mentioned something special while they were discussing Smash Bros so it’s probably going to be related to that.

 

I wonder who the first DLC character will be, give slime from dragon quest pls

I would love geno but severely doubt it at this point

 

It's Sora obviously

 

that seems highly likely. i haven't played any Kingdom Hearts games but i'd love to have Sora playable

 

The amount of both hype and salt if Sora gets in would be off the charts

 

Sora seems like he'd be a copyright nightmare to get into Smash but would be really cool

 

This is why I want Goku more than anything lol, but yeah Geno getting "snubbed" for Sora would be a trip.

 

out of everything i've heard suggested, i legit think Goku would not fit/be an ill fit for this game. and i still don't remember what Geno looks like (i know hes from Mario RPG) surprised there's so many who want him in the series

 

Slime from Dragon Quest would be amazing/hilarious. Always picked Slime for Fortune Street so I would be all for it.

 

If Piranha Plant can fit in Smash Bros then Goku can definitely fit.

I forgot FFVII was initially released on a Nintendo console

 

Still a video game though but did think that was strange at the time

 

I think the only rule they haven't broken is sticking to characters that originated as video game characters.

Goku would make sense to break that rule, but I wouldn't bank on it. Also give me Lebron.
