Sunsleeper - You Can Miss Something & Not Want it Back (July 12, 2019) Album

One of my favorite albums of the year, produced by Nathan Hussey and Mike Watts. This album has a nice pop punk/Emo sensibility to it that will be peak the ears of bands of pentimento, balance and composure, and jimmy eat world. Excited to follow this bands career!

This reminds me a lot of Listen & Forgive. I'm digging it on this cloudy overcast Thursday morning.

 

nice! i'm hoping it catches on here a bit. It's got a really great sense of melody throughout the record. like all the verses feel like tiny ear worms.

I liked their EP. Heard of them because they did a gang vocal section for Republic Of Wolves with Nathan Hussey of All Get out I believe. Only song I listened to sounded different than the EP, but I need to gives this a listen.

I have it on my list to check out. I wasn't super impressed with the pre-release tracks, but I only listened once and was half paying attention.

 

Imo this like, aggressively fine. There’s nothing wrong with it but I feel like I’ve heard these songs like ten thousand times already? Probably would’ve been head over heels in 2015 though

Guitar tones are straight up impeccable

 

Yea I love the guitar tones for sure!

I think it does a lot of interesting things, it took me a few listens to really pick up on a lot of it.

Here’s a link to their EP. I like the edge on his voice. Slightly reminds me of Vinnie from movielfe or early turnover.

I just listened to the sample clips and I will give this a listen.

 

Great ep

 

"I hope you're okay" is a jam, my favorite so far.

 

Digging this on my first full listen, but feels more like an early-fall album than a mid-summer album.

 

Looks like Republic Of Wolves fans also like Sunsleeper.

 

I'm a fan of Republic of Wolves and I really like this record, I know, you're shocked

 

Not to derail, but I sure hope the Republic Of Wolves do another record.

But yeah, this Sunsleeper record sounds really good.
