I think sunrises are more peaceful. The world (or half of it) is just waking up. Sunrises require more effort to see, which is why I miss the vast majority of them. I have a feeling sunset is going to win based on how many people take pictures of it.
Well, ya'. If we could see those every day when we looked out our windows we wouldn't need this silly poll.
Sunrises are best. Definitely more peaceful. Pulling all nighters and then going outside to smoke and watching the sunrise was always really serene.
Sunrises are definitely more peaceful, but I don't think I've ever seen anything more beautiful than a South Plains sunset.
It's a seasonal thing. In the winter sunset is just depressing as it usually occurs before leaving work. So sunrise. Sunrise is inconvenient in the early hours in summer as it tends to wake me up earlier. So sunset.
Sunrise. Nothing like going for a run on a deserted trail in the morning cold. It's my favorite time of day.
I mean sunsets are more beautiful, hands down. I grew up in Arizona and saw some of the most amazing sunsets. Buuuut, aesthetics asides, there's still something deeply satisfying about being up to watch a sunrise that makes me love them more.
I can't find any of my pictures but I love it when sunsets are pink. This a pretty pic I took. EDIT: There's no filter used here.
Sunset. My second occupation is photographer and no one ever wants to wake up when it's still dark outside for photos. Only time I like sunrises is when I'm at the beach.
My actual answer is sunset. Not because I enjoy the visual, but because nighttime is the best time and watching the sun set is like watching your arch nemesis slowly die after a gruelling battle.
