I've been on a little kick recently especially with their first two records, so I wrote a little essay about it if you're bored:

also not to keep gushing about this cover, but it is the rare cover that is both faithful to the original and has something of it's own to contribute and I love it so much

 

Picked up How It Feels To Be Something On two months ago for like 5 euro, did’t know the record but damn, still spin this one frequently, fantastic all the way

 

Was and always will be the best.

i listened to the cover so many times yesterday, it is so so good

I have a huge backlog of new music to listen to but very tempted to just fall back down the SDRE rabbit hole instead

 

I’ve actually never listened to LP2. I just remember all the iTunes reviews for it when I was getting into them at 19 said it’s not as good as Diary. Obviously why was I reading, and relying on iTunes reviews? Lol

 

It might not have as many bangers but it does have 8. One of the most awesome tempo changes I've ever heard. And also, it would be hard top Diary anyway.

 

there was a period of time I preferred LP2 to Diary cause it took me a while to get over how Diary sounds

 

I never listened to this band until I came across Pillars on Spotify. That song made me listen to How It Feels To Be Something On and I really like it.

 

Started jamming How it Feels after only listening to Diary for months. I amazed how much it reminds me of Cymbals Eat Guitars, especially with the vocals.

I am not a big enough CEG fan to describe all their diff eras, but the vocals are def similar. How it feels is 1000% worth a listen

 

I’ve been ripping through their discography the last few days after only listening to HIFTBSO previously. It’s all so damn good.

 

Facts

 

I grabbed their first two albums on vinyl for 10$ each couple of days ago, and I’ve been spinning those records since, so damn good

 

Jeremy's solo stuff is excellent as well.

 

I'll need to listen to more but I've liked the couple songs I have heard.
