It was basically a super artsy/weird mix of old school Evil Dead and new school Evil Dead with a synth soundtrack and classic Nic Cage-ness.

I fucking loved it.

 

The tale sounds fucking intense.

Hyped! That's a tall order though, esp since he had the streak of The Rock, Con Air and Face/Off in the 90s.

 

if you love "crazy nicolas cage" then you will looooove this.

 

I doooo! Deadfall and Face/Off have some insane crazy NC moments. Dude really goes for it.

 

After the movie at Sundance, the director did a Q&A with the audience. Someone mentioned that the role seemed to have been made for Nic Cage because he was so perfect for it. The director said that as soon as Cage signed on for it, they re-wrote the script with him in mind. Like, they just wanted to write parts that they'd want to see Nic Cage do. Haha pretty genius.
