They honestly have several albums I like more than AKNF but that one is still a classic as well, just shows how consistently good they are
The band killed it the other night. Such an amazing live band. It was my fourth or fifth time seeing them and I will miss them immensely when they go away next year. Sum fartie one forever \m/
i saw Sum 41 in 2005 i wanna say, maybe 04, it was them headlining with Rise Against, Unwritten Law, & A Static Lullaby.
I think a lot of these bands make worse songs when they starting thinking about it too long, so this only makes sense to me
I probably mentioned it in here awhile back, but mine was in 2003: Sum 41 was the headliner and openers were The Starting Line and No Use for a Name.
My first Sum 41 show was at a fest here called Snow Jam back in 2001 with Lagwagon, Gob, and A Simple Plan (they hadn’t dropped the A yet lol)
They were supposed to play my local Six Flags in 2002/2003ish and they had to cancel. Finally saw them for the first time at a Warped Tour, not sure which one
2002 - Roseland Ballroom NYC Played All Killer No Filler front to back. (H₂O and Autopilot Off opened)
I hope they weren't screwed by Greig Nori too, I remember he produced Make A Sound. If they'd been around a couple of years earlier they'd have been huge, they just arrived in the gap between the early 00s explosion and the FOB revival
Sum 41 was my first show - April 2003. They had The Starting Line and No Use For A Name open up, in that order
I always pair them and Don't Look Down as two bands who really had something cool but didn't keep it rolling
Now the DLD frontman just writes massive pop bangers for the biggest stars. been trying to get him to write a pop punk song again for ages
Just saw his songwriting catalogue and yeah, holy shit, that’s impressive. I will say that band DREAMERS has some catchy as hell stuff and knowing he had a hand in it makes sense. Even the Dirty Heads has good stuff, as corny as it may be at times.
