i still listen to a total of like... 4 Sum 41 songs. so yeah, i was never a huge fan or anything. and their pop punk/metal hybrid stuff was always my least fav.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard the bonus tracks or even knew they existed. Does anyone have them? edit: looks like Noots is on Apple Music here, but not the others.
"Subject To Change" is interesting because it was apparently an early version of "No Reason", but the chorus ended up being used for the song "Underclass Hero". I remember when Underclass Hero came out, I was legit mad about it, cause I didn't get why they would reuse the chorus from an already finished song.
I just listened to that song for the first time and couldn't figure out why the chorus was so familiar if I'd never heard the song before. That explains that!
This is exactly how I feel too man. I loved 13 Voices for the most part so I was pumped on Order prior to release and it’s easily my least played record of theirs.
Order is def better, love both though. Goddamn I'm Dead Again is probably my favorite post-Chuck song
Half Hour > Underclass, but a big chunk of that is probably the nostalgia I have tied to falling in love with this local band and being blown away by how good that record was. I do think Order > 13 Voices though
I never cared for the Green Day cosplay on Underclass, always has felt like their safest and least inspired material
Second Chance for Max Headroom is the best song on there don't @ me. I think a lot of the instrumentals still sound great on Half Hour. I'd definitely take it over Underclass but I'm so biased due to Half Hour being one of the cds I refused to take out of my cd player.
Oh man…one of my first “favorite bands”. I never fully came around to 13 Voices or Order in Decline, but there’s a couple songs on each I do like. Goddamn I’m Dead Again has that absolutely face melting dual solo that I love. based on the descriptions they gave for Heaven x Hell it sounded like there would be stuff on there for all types of their fans. Can’t wait.
Never gave 13 Voices and Order In Decline more than a spin or two each. Hated Screaming Bloody Murder, then again have never revisited it. Everything before, I love immensely. I'm in the camp that Underclass rules front to back.
