I was cautiously optimistic about Sum 41 making a true return, so I really tempered my expectstions, and that definitely helped. This isn't their best song by any means, but it's a pretty dang good comeback. I'm now incredibly excited for this album. This is the best summer in music in years. New Weezer, Blink-182, Yellowcard, and Sum 41? And so far everything has been good?! Feels like a dream.
Watched the video right before going to bed last night and it was entirely too much to take in haha. I'm enjoying the song a lot and I'll check the video out again when my eyes aren't closing.
really happy to see the video at a million and a half views in barely a week. Even if it is because its basically a giant meme its good that they have hype.
Listening to Half Hour of Power for the first time in a long while. It holds up really well, in my opinion. Well, outside of "It's What We're All About," haha.
"Hey everyone. I wanted to let you know that we have picked the official 1st single for our new record #13Voices. We will be releasing the song at 12am et on august 25th. This song is called "WAR". - Deryck"
I've been going back through their discography for the first time in a very long time. I still really like DTLI and Chuck. I also didn't realize that All Killer and Chuck have sold 10 million plus copies worldwide. Holy shit.
This was a nice song, catchy. As far as the songs released so far, one faster/heavier type and then a softer on in the vein of Some Say and Best of Me is not a bad way to go IMO. Excited for the album. Also I'm a sucker for videos with nice band performance so I dug the video.
It's not a bad song but I'm just really hoping for energetic fast stuff from these guys right now. Liked that last song more. This one's a bit more radio friendly?
I think it will be like he said in that interview a mix of Chuck and SBM which would be awesome. War is decent but I'm def not blown away. Radio friendly so it does its job I guess.
Ehhh, War is a little more bland from them than I would've liked for a first single, but we did also get Fake My Own Death ahead of the single. I normally don't mind softer Sum songs, but I really don't think this holds up to their other ones. Hope they put out at least one more song before the album drops. Still super excited though! Also, it's great to have Brownsound back, but now no Steve-O :(
Probably the same bonus songs that are already on the "deluxe" edition. 11. "Better Days" 12. "Black Eyes" 13. "War" (acoustic) 14. "Breaking the Chain" (acoustic)
Nice. Didn't even realize there was going to be a deluxe edition of the album before the Target news came out.
Target may have exclusivity with the deluxe edition. I don't know. I just know that those tracks were revealed for it.
