I’ll never forget how blown away I was when We’re All To Blame dropped. Like when Blink’s Untitled came out the year before, it was an exciting sound change/implementation of new influences.

 

Overall Chuck was exciting. It was the first time I ever heard the band go with a darker sound.

 

There were definitely hints of Chuck on DTLI, it's not like it was completely out of the blue

 

I actually think the chorus of We’re All To Blame is what originally surprised me. It’s the first time I think Deryck really started putting his Oasis and Beatles influences into the music. Some Say, Slipping Away, and Pieces were all like that too.

I always thought Some Say reminded me of Oasis. Glad I'm not the only one thinking that.

 

I do feel like Mr Amsterdam and No Brians could have been on Chuck, probably why those are my two favs off DTLI lol

 

Listening to their heavy songs makes me want a Metallica bracket so bad
